I work full time as a translator for many European and US companies and I am a Corresponding Member of ATA (American Translators Association) as well as an Associate Member of ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting) since 2002. Even though my background includes an MA in English Language and Literature, I soon became interested in technical translation and moved to Milan, where I obtained a post-degree Diploma in Technical Translation. Now I work regularly for many companies from all around the world and my main subject areas are IT, Software and Web Site Localization, Music Equipment/Audio Systems, Computer Music, Market Research Questionnaires, Marketing and Telecommunications.

In-house translator
I started working in 1995 as a part-time freelance translator, but the big turn in my career was in 1998, when I was called by an important translation company in Milan (L&H Mendez) for the localization of Microsoft Office 2000. In that context I had the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade and later I put into practice everything I have learnt when I started working on my own as a full time freelancer. Now I can even manage other languages, with the help of a well-established company based in the UK, every time my clients need to translate their texts in other languages as well. My office now is in northern Italy, in the beautiful Venice area.
