Quality Assurance Statement
Our company has been providing translation services since 1998. We pride ourselves on being able to source the ‘right’ translator for the subject matter concerned from our vast resources of globally based linguists.
We are members of the Association of Translation Companies and also the Institute of Translation & Interpreting.
All of our freelance translators are native speakers of the target language. As part of our selection process, we require each to fulfill one or more of the following criteria:
1. A degree, recognised diploma or MA in translation plus at least five years’ translation experience.
OR
2. A degree (and experience of working) in a specialised field (e.g. Engineering, construction etc..), plus at least five years’ translation experience.
All translators have their own specialist reference material available that they have built up over their translating career. As an extension to this, we have specially prepared ‘glossaries’ and ‘term bases’ that we make available to them. Some of these terms are industry specific, but can be applied as a ‘global term base’ to allow alternative options.
Translations are thoroughly checked, initially by our translators prior to delivery. Our own ‘in-house’ quality control process includes specialist software enabling us to carry out spelling and grammar checking in over 50 languages, continuity of terms and text, as well as having our own multi-lingual project managers who can cover several European languages.
As an additional service, we can provide a final proof reading service by a second professionally qualified linguist, if required.
